Earlier in the week I stopped by my buddy Dan Hamilton’s shop Hold Fast Cycles, in Oakland. He’s got it dialed, and pumping out some killer bikes in the process! Full website coming soon.

Custom built for a Tahoe local, this king bed was quite the project. With longevity and sustainability in mind, a single sketch was sent, the buyer was sold, and this monster came to life. It utilizes 100% salvaged material including redwood/douglas fir decking, and steel that was once terrain park rails at Sierra at Tahoe resort.

I got together a few of my favorite riders and Huggy at Snowboarder Mag to do a feature here in South Lake. We spent a few days on a friend’s 15 acre playground where we found a couple pockets of powder that didn’t fall victim to the Sierra sun. Thanks to J Rob, Cocard and Garrity, Aba and Huggy for making the best of it!
These are from the December 2011 issue of Snowboarder Magazine, in the Sick Days column.

Nabbed the Artist Profile spot in the second issue of Tahoe Snowboard Magazine. Thanks IJ and Tawnya for the killer opportunity! It’s great to have so many homies in one issue! Check out my boy Tim Peare’s cover shot, with Niko Cioffi. Nich Poohachoff by Birk, Scotty Hoffman by McCoy, Nick Visconti by Tackitt and Sell. Brendon Drury, Iris & Johnny Lazz, Woodman, Duke, Mikey Basich, and A Rob!! Homie issue! Pick one up at your local shop.

Winter in Tahoe hasn’t been favorable. Temperatures are as cold as they should be, making the lack of snow even harder on the locals. Right now I could care less, one reason being that we’re still skating the outdoor! Slams are like hitting ice, and gloves are necessary. As usual Little Be was ripping, and with the lower sun came new shadows. Nosebones? Liens? Methods? Tight.

This platform bed built was to order and delivered to Santa Cruz, Ca. The headboard & drawer fronts show off reclaimed redwood & doug fir decking. The bedsides and footer are from lodgepole pine trees, felled & milled locally. All pieces are coated with linseed oil, finished with fine grit paper and layers of water based polyurethane, then assembled with stainless steel hardware.
A foggy afternoon of skating in Bernal Heights, San Francisco that’s just been freshly scanned. Stay tuned for the new section, and enjoy! Oh yea, Happy Birthday Little Be!

Combining thousands of samples and breakbeats from a vast variety of genres, my brother Tactik has just released his new album, Amplify. With years in the making, I couldn’t be more proud of where he has come from and the sound that he is now producing.
The new album ‘Amplify’ is available online for preview and purchase.. get it HERE!
Kick back and feel the sounds make their way through yourself. My favorite tracks are Organik, Faded Away, Last Kiss & Below the Surface.

While everyone in our online fantasy world is drooling over powder photos from Colorado, or landing strip of death photos from Boreal’s opening day, masses still craving the warmth came to San Francisco for the first ever Downtown Throwdown outside of Seattle. There couldn’t have been a much better setting as October typically offers Summer-like conditions (75F) in the city.
Just like any other perfectly groomed landing strip open for business in California, there was no shortage of dudes wanting a piece. It seemed as if none of the riders took the summer off, as an onslaught of tricks were thrown down right from the start. From circus acts like front board to backside rodeo off the pole jam from Ryan Paul, to tech tricks like hardway 180 switch 5050 to bs 360 out from Nick Visconti. There was no shortage of solid ass snowboarding where a lot of it’s roots originated from in the skate mecca that is San Francisco. Even Jake Phelps from Thrasher came out for a peak of the downtown bro-down.
